Inspired by God

Spiritual_Pilgrimage

Am I able to identify and understand the driving force behind my thinking, my feelings, the choices I make in life? What influences my decision making?

There is a constant inner chatter that buzzes in my mind. It invades my internal ‘space’ by continuously verifying and validating the decisions I make – will it yield the maximum return in the shortest possible time? – not perhaps a monetary return but a return just the same. My thinking and my choices are inspired by results, goals and gains.

However that which is the ‘greatest’ and ‘best’ result may not be the most beneficial outcome for me. It may not open up the most fruitful road to the future.

There is a force of goodness that will always pull me towards itself, it will guide and guard me towards itself. We can call it a force of goodness or we can call it God.

I have to be willing to let go of the apparent safely of my own inner chatter in order to be receptive to it. And when I am, I will see I am being influenced by the greatest good.

Within my thinking, being and doing, is there ‘space’ to be inspired by God?

The Observer

drama

Do I stand and watch the scenes in my drama as they play themselves out in front of me or do I jump In and try and fix things?

If I am able to watch, as an observer, then I will see, appreciate and enjoy each scene for what it is. I will be able to understand the characters and their reactions and above all, whilst seeing everything, I will remain stable within my own peace.

The moment I stop being an observer I become ‘involved’. I will nolonger be able to see, understand or appreciate the characters and the unique roles they play in the scene. Physically, mentally and emotionally I become involved – with something to gain or something to lose in each scene. Internally I will find myself on a battlefield needing to fight for my ‘rights’.

I need to see the full picture in order to be able to make the right move at the right time in any scene in lifes drama. I can only do that if I am an observer.

Is that Knowledge or Wisdom?

Kow_wisdom

We live in an information society. Whatever information is needed can be obtained with the press of a button.

With all this information we are able to gain so much knowledge on almost any subject. Information or knowledge is seen as a sign of power. One who knows is a master and can thus lead and control – direct and even mis-direct.

But when does knowledge become wisdom?

When we contemplate knowledge, then apply and integrate it in our lives: our awareness, attitude and actions. When it is used in relation to the wider truths of life, it is then that it becomes wisdom. Knowledge on its own may be useful and give temporary gain, but it is only wisdom that transforms knowledge into power – spiritual power

Wisdom is the power of experience that gives internal stability. It is the deepest ‘knowing’, based on experience, which then allows one to be internally free.

Am I wise?
