Spring Cleaning for the Soul

I awaken from the slumber of winter.

Time to blow away the cobwebs of worries, doubts and fears
Brush off the dust of resentments and regrets
The past is the past

It’s time to open the windows and let the light in
The light of God and the might of God!
I am coloured by the power of His presence.

The light within once again sparkles
Bringing love, peace and power within
And leaving a beautiful fragrance of happiness for all to share

Let each day be Spring!

Solitude

InheritenceI am drawn in to solitude. Somehow, within solitude I find comfort and a freedom for the self.
When I sit in solitude, alone……. I create a world made up of me and everything that I am. It is where I feel comfortable. Not that it is always a place of great happiness and joy, but even a lonely one of hopelessness and self-pity. It is a world I create and one which is limited by my own imagination and perception. A place I want to be and am ‘comfortable’ being in.
Is there another type of solitude that I can experience?
Solitude in the subtle company of God – this is a totally different space and experience. It is an environment in which there is power, attainment and happiness. All the ingredients that allow me to open up and explore the depths of spirituality and the richness of spirit.
I step back into this solitude – this is where I want to be.

Inspired by God

Spiritual_Pilgrimage

Am I able to identify and understand the driving force behind my thinking, my feelings, the choices I make in life? What influences my decision making?

There is a constant inner chatter that buzzes in my mind. It invades my internal ‘space’ by continuously verifying and validating the decisions I make – will it yield the maximum return in the shortest possible time? – not perhaps a monetary return but a return just the same. My thinking and my choices are inspired by results, goals and gains.

However that which is the ‘greatest’ and ‘best’ result may not be the most beneficial outcome for me. It may not open up the most fruitful road to the future.

There is a force of goodness that will always pull me towards itself, it will guide and guard me towards itself. We can call it a force of goodness or we can call it God.

I have to be willing to let go of the apparent safely of my own inner chatter in order to be receptive to it. And when I am, I will see I am being influenced by the greatest good.

Within my thinking, being and doing, is there ‘space’ to be inspired by God?

My Companions

2015-04-20_0807_003

It is often said that we are coloured by the company we keep.

Am I aware how the people around me, my friends, colleagues etc., influence the values I hold, my understanding and interpretation of situations, and how that governs the behaviour I demonstrate.

How is the company I keep in my inner world influencing me? Am I able to see how the thoughts and feelings I entertain shape my vision and attitudes, and thus carve my personality.

Do I keep the company of the truth, of God, and allow that to work on me gently and subtly to make me great?

Let me check the quality of the company I am keeping – is it having a positive influence on my life? If not perhaps it is time to check and change?

The Guide

home

God is my guide, the One that teaches, protects and shows me the way.

He is the One that holds the three aspects of time in His awareness and so knows my past, present and future.

When I turn inwards I listen to the voice within…who is speaking and to whom?
Do I spend time listening to the voice of God as he teaches me and guides me through each day or have I become too busy just listening to myself, my own inner voice that is overflowing with talk of my desires and my sorrows?

Does God have a place in that space within so that He is a part of my inner world? Can I hear the voice of God in amongst all the other noise that is going on?

If I open my inner ear to hear the voice of God then I will realise that He is ever present guarding and guiding me. He is always every ready to help at every moment. It is I that has no time or gives no importance to listen.

Destiny

karma2

They say that whatever is destined will happen.

Whether I win or lose, whether there is happiness or pain … it is predestined.

But who is it that holds the pen that writes my destiny? Who decides whether I will experience sorrow and pain or happiness and joy? Who is it that decides?

We may be surprised to learn, we may even dis- believe, that the one that holds the pen that writes our destiny is I and only I!

It is the Law of Karma – action and reaction are equal and opposite. The seeds I chose to plant today will determine the fruits that I reap tomorrow.

It is an accurate and absolute law…there is no escape from the results of karma. Today, tomorrow, next year or even next birth…it will give its return.

And about God, what can He do to help?
He cannot change my action and so He cannot change the result of my action – it is as simple as that.

I am the one that chooses my every thought, my every word and my every action …. therefore let me choose wisely!

The One

One

Who is the One who is the Almighty Authority, God?

To see Him, I need to become introverted and spend time with myself. To be introverted means not to allow anything external to enter the mind and to be able to recognise and sit with myself, the soul.

To know Him I need to first know myself. With the power of concentration the senses become completely still. I experience the self as energy and light.

In the stillness of my own being I am able to come in front of The One. He is extremely subtle, He is love, energy, light and power.

To recognise Him and to know Him as He is, is the most profound experience in life. It is the realisation of this eternal connection that empowers and transforms the soul and makes it full again.

Take time to recognise the self. Take time to recognise the One.

The Almighty Authority

He has no physical strength and yet we call Him the Almighty One. What then is the might we experience from Him?

At the time of need we turn to Him and ask for patience, inner strength, peace or even courage. So what makes Him almighty is the fact that He holds and commands all the virtues. And when all else fails, humankind turn to Him and take the support of the virtues that He offers.

Virtues are not a commodity that can be distributed and yet when we ask God for courage, somehow that strength emerges from within. He becomes the catalyst to empower the same virtue already within the self.

I am a child of God and as such I also hold the key to all the virtues. But because I don’t use them enough I have lost my authority over them. Let me start seeing and using my virtes now within each thought word and action I perform.

God Himself stands in front of us as an example of being an authority of virtues and yet we do not see that this is the way to be.

Become the authority of virtues.

The Soundless Chant

When we walk into a temple, church, mosque, monastery etc. we often hear beautiful chanting.

It creates an atmosphere which holds us with the sounds and feelings of devotion that are very comforting. The notes are pleasing to the ears and the vibrations are pleasing to the heart.
This atmosphere has been created with the heartfelt communication with God: the talking and calling out to Him.

Now my own communication with God is in the form of a soundless chant. Within the vibrations of this chant I am also held very comfortably, but with love and power. It is a chant in which I the soul make no sound and have nothing to say. I just sit in the presence of God holding His remembrance. Here within this silent chant I am able to listen to God.

It is in this space of eternity where I belong. Within this soundless chant is the sound of total silence, total perfection.

Listen to the soundless chant.
