What is the Answer?

Wreasonshen challenges present themselves in our lives, often our immediate response is to analyse and find a solution – what is the answer?
What happened? Why? Where? When? How? In desperation for an answer we allow our mind to go into overdrive – thinking, re-thinking – over-thinking!

If I can take a moment to stop the torrent of these thoughts and turn inwards to see what is going on within perhaps I will begin to understand what is happening.

Instead of asking ‘why the situation?’, I ask myself ‘why is it so challenging? Perhaps rather than looking outside for the answers, I look within and unravel what is going on there, then I will begin to find answers that hold the deepest secrets about me and the answers that can transform my life.

Ask the right questions and surely the right answers will follow.

Who’s at Fault?

Blame

Someone did something wrong – it happens – but what follows is much more important than the mistake itself.

The immediate reaction internally, to arising feelings, is that we experience continuous waves of thoughts about that situation.
We replay the scene again and again in our minds and confirm it to be their fault. Or we try and justify it with reason and excuses. We may even become critical and start to blame.

We think and over think about the mistake and in doing so we allow it to grow in our mind until it becomes a big thing.

If we continue to focus on what is wrong then how will it ever finish or improve?

A negative can never be transformed by adding more negativity, just like adding more darkness to an already dark room will keep it dark. Light is needed to transform or finish the darkness.

Getting stuck in a situation will not allow us to see the solution. It will also not allow us to learn and grow from the experience.

Stop and let go of blame and justification – concentrate on the solution.

The Power of Attraction

Power_of_attraction

When we are happy, content and in a good space within ourselves, we are able to deal with challenges more easily. The moment we lose that balance the underlying feeling of contentment also disappears and we begin to feel threatened by the challenges that come.

In this state of being we subtly look for something to compensate for the loss in contentment, and we become attracted to ‘easy’ forms of comfort. We are drawn into taking support of negativity in the form of anger, falsehood, excuses, blame etc.
It no longer is a case of what is right and wrong. There is just a subtle but powerful need to be back in our comfort zone again and so we ‘fight’ for that.

Taking support of negativity in this way reinforces it in our lives and in our character. We then become trapped and dependent on negativity as a ‘quick fix’.

We may realise that this behaviour is not the solution and that it will only resolve the issue temporarily, but like a drug, we become attracted and even dependent on it..

Take care not to be attracted and trapped by negative behaviour habits.
