The Value behind Reaction

2015-04-20_0810_001There are often reactions that happen within situations – either I react or others react. The situation then becomes a confrontation.

When a value or belief that someone holds is challenged then they can react. Reaction is a way of defending and upholding the underlying value that is being challenged.

It is actually not a question of what is right or wrong and therefore the way to resolve it is also to go beyond trying to prove its correctness or not. The way to resolve reaction is to foster respect for what they value and then respond accordingly.
After all, no matter the situation, it is not my place to undermine someone else’s belief/value.

Reaction happens for a reason and if I am able to understand and give respect to the underlying belief/value that they wish to uphold then the reaction will easily dissolve.

Step into Silence

silence

One would think that, compared to the big attractive physical world we live in, the inner world of silence would be dull, empty and insignificant.

However when I allow myself to let go, of everything that pulls me out into this physical ‘reality’, and step into my own inner space, then I will see and experience the value of silence.

It is the space in which I come face to face with the reality of myself. The self that cannot be seen but only be experienced. The realisation of my real identity – my eternity, my power and my beauty.

It is a space that is without the ‘noise’ – the sound, colour, movement – of the physical world which diverts me and attracts me outwards again and again. It is only in this space of inner silence that the self can be realised.

My inner silence is deep, subtle and full of riches. There is a very tangible experience of total contentment and of having reached.

Step into silence.

Time

Time is one of my most precious possessions.

Time is squandered when I don’t use it in a worthwhile way: when I don’t use it to accumulate internal assets.

Maintaining an attitude of positivity enables me to accumulate. Otherwise anything negative or wasteful will deplete my energy and lose a lot of time.

To make the best use of this precious gift I need to take time to understand myself with love, clarity and honesty, but how often do I give myself this gift?

It is time for meeting my own truth.
It is time for the awakening and the meeting with God.
It is time for silence.
